Are you a young adult looking for community service opportunities?
At Pacifica Gardens, you can learn about organic and sustainable farming, make friends, enjoy the outdoors, and earn your hours all at the same time!
Perhaps the most frequent comment we receive from new volunteers is that they were given lots of opportunities to learn and participate in all sorts of tasks – no one ever sits around waiting for someone to tell them what to do!
Farming skills are basic but satisfying, and once you’ve learned a skill we give you the independence to make it your own. This is a very hands-on environment, so come prepared to dive right in.
Our regular workday/time is Saturday from 10am-2pm, which fits easily into student schedules. Students generally help during the height of our season at the garden, between April and November.
